City Bike Adventures Copenhagen: Join Our Team!
City Bike Adventures is always looking for new wonderful people to join us. We mostly hire during the winter months but might be on the lookout for new guides to join our team the rest of the year as well. By joining our team, you are joining a group of dedicated tour guides who work hard to create amazing experiences for our guests.

Tour Guides
We get a lot of applicants for our tour guide job. The job requires an openness to learning new things, dedication, flexible working hours and above all a strong desire to create amazing experiences for your guests. To become a tour guide for City Bike Adventures you must have a strong sense of showmanship and a strong confidence when guiding the tours. You should easily be able to create a connection with all the different types of people you will meet on the tours and make everyone feel welcome as a member of the group. You should also be able to handle unexpected situations such as a flat tire, without being overwhelmed by stress. It is important that you are able to keep a cool head in otherwise stressful situations and deal with any given problems in a calm manner.

Qualifications you must have include:
  • A good understanding of the history of Copenhagen and Denmark. There are of course some things which we will teach you along the way but a good knowledge of the history of Copenhagen is an advantage.
  • Knowing the ins and outs of Copenhagen. To be considered for the position, you should have lived in Copenhagen for at least 3 years.
  • Fluent in English. You must be able to speak the English language fluently as well as being able to talk with Danes in a reasonably fluent manner.
  • Flexible working hours. As a guide for City Bike Adventures, you are expected to be very flexible when it comes to being able to guide a tour. You are also expected to be available throughout most of the summer.
  • Being social! Besides the tours where you are naturally social with the tour participants, we also expect you to interact with the other tour guides and help each other out with shifts whenever needed.
  • Ability to ride a bike at a steady pace for at least 3 hours.
  • Being able to do freelance work in Denmark. We can only accept candidates who already possess either an EU passport, or Danish Work and Residence Permits.
